Re-Creating Vision: Don't compromise on your vision (1 Kings 6)

Solomon had a vision for building God's temple. He had the highest standards and he spared no expense. Some might have thought, and even told him, that his vision was too extravagant, that he should be more frugal and "a better steward" of his resources. Don't get me wrong, we are called to good stewardship but good stewardship knows what to invest in. When God gives you a vision, you don't compromise that vision for anyone else's lack of vision. 1 Kings 6:11-13 tells us: The word of the Lord came to Solomon: “As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, observe my laws and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father. And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel.” You know where God is calling you to build. He will bless it if you don't compromise.
