Just Do It: Clean House

forgiving, clean

We all hide messes in our lives. Some hide them so well that no one would ever know how much of a mess they really were in. We can hide our messes from friends, family, and neighbors. There is only one that you can hide your mess from and that is God.

In the old testament there are 613 laws given to the Israelite people. All of which are derived from the 10 commandments.

When was the last time you opened up your Bible and studied the Word of God?

Let’s crack open our Bibles together and read Leviticus 19:10-18, if you can’t find your Bible right now don’t worry just keep reading this post!

Leviticus 19: 10 “I am the Lord your God.

11 “‘Do not steal.

“‘Do not lie.

“‘Do not deceive one another.

12 “‘Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.

13 “‘Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.

“‘Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.

14 “‘Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord.

15 “‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

16 “‘Do not go about spreading slander among your people.

“‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the Lord.

17 “‘Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in their guilt.

18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Dear God,

We all have messes we are hiding. You know where they all are. Help us to clean up the messes we are hiding. Help us to trust you, to follow you, and shine light into our lives. Help us to proclaim that Jesus our Lord and Savior. Clean our hearts and let us continue this day walking with You.

In your Name we pray,
