Mark your calendars for the month of October and come join us at the Pumpkin Patch!
If you’ve been before, thanks for coming; if you haven’t yet, we’ve missed you! Plan on joining us this year!

Three full truckloads of pumpkins are coming this year beginning October 7. A truckload contains over 2000 pumpkins and weighs over 43,000 pounds! You must come, bring your children and check out all we have planned for you. The Patch is open daily from 10:00am – 9:00pm so come by and say “hi”.

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins! One truckload comes on Wednesday, October 7, one on Friday, October 16 and another comes Friday, October 23. Arrivals are planned for 4:00pm but the time may vary depending upon the driver or circumstances since they are coming in from New Mexico. What’s for Sale? Pumpkins of all sizes will be available for purchase along with decorative gourds of all shapes and related retail items.

Flanigan’s Dinner and Show of Illusion will be Saturday, October 17. Come for great food and a super showof illusion. Because this event is so popular we have scheduled two dinner seatings, one before and one after the show. Dinner seating times are 5:00pm and 7:30pm and due to limited availability you will need to make your choice at the time of purchase. The Show of Illusion is scheduled in between from 6:30-7:30 and ticket purchase covers dinner and show. Advance purchase price for adults is $12 (ages 13 and up) and $6 for children (ages 12 and under). Dinner/show tickets purchased at the door will cost more: $14 adults/$7 children. Should you choose to forgo dinner and just see the show, entry at the door is $7 per person. To purchase your dinner/show tickets, visit the church office or call 305-821-7274. Tickets will also be available at the Pumpkin Patch retail counter. Be sure to bring your advance-purchase ticket to the dinner to avoid having to pay more at the door.

Picnic-in-the-Patch, Pumpkin Carving Contest and Bonfire are scheduled for Saturday, October 10 beginning at 5:00pm. The pumpkin carving contest starts at 5:00 with prizes followed by a bonfire complete with s’mores and acoustical guitar music. Feel free to bring your own food or purchase a hamburger or hotdog when you come. Drinks and chips will also be available for purchase. Bring a blanket to sit on but please leave the alcoholic beverages at home.

School Field Trips will be held every weekday morning from 9:00-noon beginning Thursday, October 8 and running through Wednesday, October 28. Cost is $7.00 per child and includes all the interactive activities, obstacle course, jokes and songs, science experiments, refreshments (cookies and lemonade or water), a little pumpkin for each child, a goodie bag which includes a coin for a free kids meal at any Flanigan’s restaurant, and a group photo for the classroom. Photo opportunities abound at the Pumpkin Patch. Admission to the Pumpkin Patch is free. Donations are always welcome and needed to help us maintain the Patch and allow us to keep coming up with new ideas to make your experience enjoyable. Please be generous.

Outdoor Movie Nights will be Friday, October 9, Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 24 at 7:00 pm. The movies are free. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

Craft Show will be held Saturday, October 24 from 10:00am – 7:00pm. We’re expecting around 50 participating crafters so come early and do your gift shopping before the crowds get wild at the popular Fall Festival beginning at 12:00. Fall Festival (new extended hours) will be Saturday, October 24 from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm. There will be a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, games and prizes, a maze, music by our very own praise band and the all-day Craft Show followed by a movie at 7:00pm. Admission to the festival, Craft Show entrance, and movie are free. Tickets will need to be purchased for the activities. Food and soft drinks will be available for purchase.

Festival Parking — The Town of Miami Lakes has graciously offered their parking lot at 6601 Main Street, Miami Lakes for our overflow parking. Should you find no parking available on church grounds, please go north on 67th Avenue to Main Street and turn right. It’s a short walk back to the festival. Please be considerate and safe and do not park on our neighbors’ lawns nor jump the curb on 67th Avenue.

Year-Round Kidz Rock — On Wednesday the Kidz Rock children’s program runs from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. We have a Bible science exploration station alongside crafts, team building games, and snack. This program is for children from grades Kindergarten through 5th grade and is free of charge. Come and join the fun every Wednesday!
